Welcome to the World Autism Awareness Day Blog Hop!! Today and the month of April is the time to bring more awareness of Autism and what it means in our lives. If you came from Doris's Blog, then you have came from the right spot. If you just stopped by for a visit, thank you, but please start with our hostess, Cori.
I never knew that much about autism until about 6 years ago when we were told that our son Kyle had autism. I knew something was wrong and had been trying to find answers but they were hard to find. You see Kyle is adopted and the doctor kept saying that he was just spoiled and I needed to spank him more. Uh no!! He had already had 2 gran mal seizures that lasted 10 minutes each, so there was proof that something was wrong. Finally after many doctors and hospital trips we found the correct diagnosis and was able to get the help he needed. Today Kyle is a happy go lucky 10 year old in the 3rd grade. He is learning to read, loves to make 100s on his spelling tests and loves to play soccer!!
To showcase my happy go lucky son I've created a mini album from a clear acrylic album from Clear Scraps. I hope you enjoy my album.

When Kyle saw this cover to his album he said,"I'm not a girl!!"...lol. No he's not and I contacted Bugaboo and they are going to try to come out with a boy autism digi and when they do I will get it and replace the little girl. But for the time being isn't she cute!!?
Kyle being Unique!
Interesting!!
Mysterious
Loved
Because of Awareness of Autism there is more research being done than ever before and people are becoming more aware. Thanks to the research and more awareness there is a better future for children like Kyle!!
Kristi made this great paper piecing that I ended the mini book with and I couldn't think of a better way to finish. Thank you Kristi!!
Thank you for stopping by today!! Please hop on over to the next stop and see what Chriss has for you!!

thank you for sharing your story with us. I love your mini. So precious. I hate that there are so many doctors out there willing to give you a simple yet dramatic result instead of the truth. I too had a bad happening with a doctor when my son was one. I was scared into thinking my son had Leukemia. I went to a bigger and better doctor at a childrens hospital that told me no he was just low tollerant to sugar in his mouth. I thank God every day. Thank you again for sharing a huge piece of your life with us.
Awesome mini. Thanks for sharing your story.
